Why do I need a pool barrier inspection?
It’s the law in Victoria. Every pool and spa must have a compliant barrier to help prevent childhood drownings. Inspections ensure your fence meets the required safety standards.
How often do I need an inspection?
Every four years. Councils will send reminders, but it’s your responsibility to stay compliant.
What happens if my barrier isn’t compliant?
We’ll give you a detailed report and explain what needs fixing. You’ll have up to 60 days to make changes before a free re-inspection.
How long does the inspection take?
Most visits take just 30–45 minutes.
Do I need to be home?
Yes – someone needs to provide safe access to the pool area.
How quickly will I get my certificate?
If compliant, we issue your Form 23 Certificate to you on the same day with a comprehensive report of compliance so that you can lodge it with council.
Do you service regional areas?
Yes – we can arrange inspections outside of Melbourne. A small travel fee may apply, but this is often reduced or waived if more than one household books.
💸 Payments
How much does it cost?
The cost is a flat fee of $250.00
do I need to pay for a re-inspection?
There is no charge for a re-inspection.
Do I need to pay for the compliance certificate?
No. We issue the Form 23 Certificate and comprehensive report of compliance for free on the day of the inspection so that you can provide it to your council.
